How far in advance do I need to book?

My suggestion is once you have a wedding date, and your venue, reach out to me. I do typically book 1 year in advance for the prime wedding season dates (June through October). If I don't have your date open, I will place you on a waitlist, as well as send over a list of other amazing artists.

Do you have a service minimum?

Nope! I actually have a service maximum. I really thrive on the smaller bridal parties. I don't take on more than 7 services for makeup.
Example:
Makeup: Bride + 6
We may be able to accommodate more, but this would be on a case by case basis. 

Do you travel?

Travel is always welcome! I will never turn down a chance to hop on a plane either!
SJ Makeup Artistry will include 25 miles round trip from Makeup Studio located at 11515 Burnham Drive Nw, Suite 104f, Gig Harbor, WA to the elopement location
If the mileage exceeds the allotted mileage amount, a Travel Fee will be a $1/mile.

If travel time is over 2 hours one way, hotel accommodations may be required.
Travel Fees and any accommodations will be included with quote at time of inquiry.
Example of locations and associated fees:
Port Gamble, Wa $50 travel
Edlynn Farm (Grahm) $50, 
Seattle Various Locations $75 to $100
Packwood, Wa $175 travel,
Crystal Mountain $135,
Leavenworth: Hotel Accommodations + $275,
Out of state travel, all travel expenses are covered flight, hotel.

Can my Bridal Party Members pay for themselves?

Yes they can. I do require payment prior to the wedding date to allow the flow of the day to be smooth and I'm not chasing anyone down for payment. The Bride will receive and invoice and can collect money from the bridal party members and pay that way. Or I can share my Venmo and bridal party members can send payment that way. I can make other accommodations if need be as well

My bridal party members are still deciding if they want to have or makeup done, when do you need to know by?

At the time of booking I do request a rough head count of services. I will check in with you 60 days prior to the wedding for a final head count of services requested. With everything being finalized 30 days prior to the wedding date. After this, the service numbers cannot be lessened but we may be able to add services based on availability.

Do you offer Trials?

Yes! The Makeup Bundle include 1 trial for the Bride. These are booked typically 3 to 4 months prior to the wedding date. Trials are reserved for booked Brides. I may be able to accommodate a trial prior to booking if far enough in advance and based on Shelby's  availability. Additional Trials are welcome outside of the bridal bundles if requested. These will come with additional fees. 
Bridal Bundles are also set up like a pay as you go, with a certain amount is required at the trial and remaining balance is due the week of the wedding.
Trials for bridal party members are available based on Shelby's availability.

Do you offer Hair + Makeup for events other than weddings?

At this time, I only offer makeup services, but I have a ton of recommendations for Hair Stylists. Honestly whatever your reason for wanting your makeup done for, I will do it. Please fill out an inquiry form and tell me a little bit more about what you're getting ready for. 

Can I get ready on location or at at my house?

Yes, but a travel fee will be applied. Services will always be preformed at our studio unless arranged otherwise.
